Our Story

A Tradition of Academic Excellence

Founded in 1965, Chania High School has grown into one of Kenya's most respected secondary institutions, producing leaders across every sphere of public and private life.

What began as a small community school in Thika has evolved into a thriving institution enrolling over 1,200 students across Forms 1–4. Our alumni — proudly known as Chanerians — include doctors, engineers, judges, entrepreneurs, and Cabinet Secretaries.

We are guided by a simple yet powerful motto: Excellence · Integrity · Service. These three pillars shape every decision, every lesson, and every life formed within our walls.
